Brian Browning serves as Commercial Director and Affiliate Broker with The Carter Group, eXp Realty helping buyers, sellers, investors, landlords, and tenants navigate residential and commercial real estate opportunities throughout East Tennessee. His brokerage work includes property evaluation, acquisition and disposition strategy, land opportunities, and client representation.
Before entering private real estate practice, Brian spent more than 25 years in leadership and operations roles at the University of Tennessee. His experience included institutional property strategy, acquisitions, lease negotiations, planning, and complex real estate initiatives—work that continues to inform his practical, long-term approach for clients.
Brian is also the Founder and Principal of Browning Development & Consulting, where he provides development and strategic advisory services for landowners, investors, and project partners. His work includes feasibility, site and land-use analysis, development planning, owner representation, and project strategy

Brian grew up in Knoxville where he met his wife Angela of 25 years and they have two sons, Tyler and Colin. He serves as a deacon at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Halls where they're long-time members. Brian’s commitment to his clients is unwavering, and this is reflected in his client-first approach, exceptional attention to detail, and strong sense of integrity.
